Biography
“Alternately
wise and funny, silly and poignant,” (Yukon
International Storytelling Festival) “Angela’s animated storytelling
humorously evokes a sense of perspective in the realm of human nature,”

as she weaves traditional world
folktales, mythology, regional legends and history with humor and wit.
Telling
professionally since 1989, she has garnered national recognition, telling at
arts festivals, museums, schools and libraries across the country, her audio
“Faire Tales” is a National Parenting Publications Award winner. A seasoned
professional, she brings a unique insight and perspective to the art of
storytelling, combining her life experiences as a mother of three with the
research skills and education received as a registered nurse, to enhance and
influence her selection of story.
Founder of the
Merrimack Valley Storytellers Guild and a recent president of the League for the
Advancement of New England Storytelling, her upcoming performances include the
Sharing the Fire Storytelling Conference, Concord Community Television’s Arts
Telefest, the Massachusetts Title I Conference, the Children’s Arts Festival in
Peterborough and the Higgins Armory Museum Faire in Worcester and she
anticipates that much of her summer will be spent telling piratical tales to New
Hampshire children in libraries throughout the state. Relocating to “Southern”
New Hampshire from San Antonio seven years ago, in turn, the youngest of her
three daughters has left for college and Angela and her husband of 23 years are
adjusting to life in their circa 1774 colonial with just the cats and dogs.
